Welcome to Shawnee Heartland Assisted Living

In this time of large corporate takeovers, systematized approaches to the concept of assisted living, and large confusing multi-floor construction, Shawnee Heartland is an oasis in the Assisted Living desert.

Shawnee Heartland opened its doors for business in December of 2000. Well into our ninth year of serving the senior community, we have the same ownership team that founded Shawnee Heartland. For the past seven years, Phyllis and Frank Curtis have been a part of the Shawnee Heartland management team. 

In addition to being part of the ownership, Phyllis serves as the Executive Director and Frank is the Community Director for Shawnee Heartland. They are both involved in all aspects of the day to day operations of Shawnee Heartland.  You can be assured that they have a vested interest in the care and well-being of our residents.

There are eight residents who have been with us since we opened.  We are a forty-eight apartment single story assisted living community housed under one roof. The size of Shawnee Heartland allows all of our residents to know one another on a personal basis. 

Many friendships have been cultivated over the years that continue to grow and develop. Shawnee Heartland is conveniently located off of I-435 at 16207 Midland Dr. in Shawnee, KS.  We are in the heart of Johnson County with close proximity to, Lenexa, Merriam, Mission, Overland Park, Olathe, Bonner Springs, Lake Quivira, Leawood and Roeland Park, KS.
